Patricks Patch Beaulieu

I was in Beaulieu yesterday and found I had a little time to kill.

It had been a while since I visited Patrick's Patch so I popped my car into a very convenient parking spot in Beaulieu High Street and had a wander.

By the way it is free to roam around this fabulous little plot.  It's opposite Fairweathers in Beaulieu High Street.

Cut flowers, vegetables and herbs are used in Steff's Kitchen and all surplus sold at the Garden Centre.

Rachel, the Head Gardener is supported by loyal volunteers.

Today, have a stroll with me.
I'm sure you'll want to visit yourself one day.

Beaulieu village
My first encounter was this beautiful animal.

I am going to show my ignorance here as I have no idea if this sheep looking at me was male or female!

However, in a field full of sheep it was the only one that was up for a portrait!
Oh actually, this is my best side :)

And so transfixed with this beautiful animal that I nearly tripped over this one, which actually made me jump out of my skin!
The first flowers you see are the meadow flowers, which sadly I have missed this year, but there were some soldiering on.  and actually I was delighted to find more on the patch!

the plot is full of extraordinary characters which make you smile as you wander ...

and such pretty flowers of all kinds dotted here and there in amongst the vegetables.

And don't worry if you have missed out on all the courses...
there's one left for this year 5th November The Autumn Veg Garden.
I had forgotten what an inspiring and relaxing garden this was!

Well done Rachel and your team.
You should be very proud of what you are achieving here at Patrick's Patch.
